Toyota 4runner Buggy on Rockwells
« on: Dec 09, 2010, 12:37:58 PM »
Between the family and work I just dont have time to use this any more. The rig has not been wheeled in over a year and I could use the cash and space in the garage.

Quick Spec List:

1985 Toyota 4runner
1995 Chevrolet 4.3 V6 on propane
3 8 gallon propane tanks (two mounted, one spare)
Toyota 5 speed transmission
Dual Transfer cases stock gearing (2.28) w/Marlin Adapter
Heretic Fab heat treated rear output
Square Driveshafts front and rear
Rockwells (2-fronts, rear steer currently locked out) welded diffs
Single ended ram full hydro steering with cooler
Triangulated 4-Link front and rear flexes like crazy
BTF "old style" axle link mounts
BTF "batwing" frame linke mounts
LG Rubicon Express "builder balls" on axle end
Rubicon Express bushings on frame side
18" Travel 2.5" Fox airshocks front
18" Travel 2.0" Fox airshocks rear
Grooved 42" TSLs with great tread
15" Beadlocks
Limit chains all 4 corners
Warn 8274 winch (mounted, but not hooked up)
Internal cage with tube front and rear ends
Hunsaker race seats
Corbeau 5-point harnesses
Grant steering wheel
Push button start

Im sure there are some things I have forgotten, but feel free to ask any questions. This is a crawler that has been used so its not perfect, but it is ready to wheel. Current green sticker reg'd in my name with a clear title.

Here is a link to the buildup:

http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showt...318&highlight=

The pictures show the rig when it was on 53s, but otherwise its current.

Rig is located in Elk Grove, CA about 20 minutes south of Sacramento. I am willing to help with delivery/shipping if needed.

I also have a triple axle 23' flat deck trailer that I will consider selling with the runner, but not before the runner sells.

Price is ONLY $11000 O.B.O.

I am willing to take paypal if cash is an issue.

I WILL ENTERTAIN ANY TRADE PLUS CASH, LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GOT!!

Some parts can be removed to lower price as well.

Please email with any questions or offers danebathurst@hotmail.com

Thanks, the 53's are gone, its back on 42's.  I still have never needed the winch, but its nice to have when you wheel alone.  (I am not condoning wheeling alone, but with my work schedule I end up wheeling in alone to meet buddies)

I'm workin on a build a little like this and have started lookin for unfinished truggies.  It'd be a whole lot cheaper for me to just buy yours!  Too bad all my money is wrapped up in parts already and I'm stationed in Memphis, TN.  LOVE the rig.  Good luck with the sale.

Now a days it is much cheaper to buy vs. build.  Sounds like we might be putting together a snow run so I dont know how much longer this will be for sale.  Every time I use it I fall in love again, but when it sits for too long I start to think about getting rid of it!

It is the same runner in the TTC running for 2011!!  I already spoke with the magazine people and if it sells the new owner can drive I just have to remain listed as driver of record...but the new owner gets all the free BLING (54" MT TTCs, Stazworks, Amsoil) that comes with being chosen to be in TTC!!

Yeah, but things happen for a reason.  We will see how TTC goes (if I even get in) and then I will look for a more "family friendly" rig...
