20r/22r head question
« on: Dec 19, 2010, 04:03:01 PM »
is there anyway to tell the difference between an early 22r head and a 20r head with removing my intake? i pulled a 20r today for the head, to come and find out i think the hybrid swap was already done to my truck by the previous owner. any casting differences anyone knows about?

thanks guys!

:willynilly:I know about the intake ports, and sadly the in the truck has an aftermarket intake on it. The only clue I have is under the weber carb there looks to be a water block plate like a 20r would have.

Actually looks like this is the intake I have http://www.offyparts.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_25/products_id/322?osCsid=afad773251213820d9bc1eae22dfd95d guessing I have a 22r head on there now.
