« on: May 16, 2010, 10:38:53 AM »
ive got  3 inch spring with 2 inch blocks on the rear of my toyota. i was wanting to put new 6 inch springs to get more flex ,but i cant relocate my shackle mounts .so what would be a good spring to put on  that is the stock length of a toyota?  i can move my front  mount forward  but not my rear shackle mount.

leave the top toy leaf
add  atleast 4 f150 rear leafs. early 90s f150, narrow ones
as they have a huge arch.

you wont get alot of flex from stock toy leafs tho

I used F-150 springs moved the front mount like three inches forward and left the rear shackle at the factory location but I do have a 1 1/2" longer than stock shackle. The shackle angle isnt to bad and it works great all for about $41 and a ubolt flip kit.

I ran the Superlift 4.5 inch lift on my 85 truck for several years and the rear springs didn't flex much, but the stability allowed me to climb like mad.  I replaced them with an Alcan pack that was stock length and they worked really well, at least in my opinion.  I had them built so that I could still cruise on the highway with control, but I'm sure they could do anything you want.  Their extended length spring option moves the front mount 5 inches forward and leaves the rear mount in the stock location.  I have those on my 89 4Runner and they work great as well.

Why would you use a RUF pack in the rear. Then it's just rear springs in the rear.
