You guys with the hard line flapping in the breeze are playing with fire. That thing may "work harden" and break one of these days. Solid mount them. I cut the bracket off the backing plate, drilled a hole and bolted it on with one of the caliper bolts. Re-bent the hard line to fit. On the frame, I cut the stock mount and welded it down lower on the frame. Uses a screen door spring to keep the long soft line out of the way.

I used front range off roads tacoma brake kit so my set up is a little different. I used my stock 98 4runner calipers and bought brake hoses to screw directly into the caliper. Then I fabbed up my own hold backs.

My truck is a 1998 4runner. They are almost the same as tacoma brakes. They are the same shape as the tacoma calipers but the 96-02 4runner have a 10 mm female flare rather than a banjo bolt like the 95-04 tacoma calipers

a buddy of mine just eliminated all his hard line and replaced them all with stainless braided line, to each wheel, kinda expensive, but hes pretty happy
