id roll with 17

Pros-You can still air down alot and refill is quicker (less tire)
they make alot of sick 17in rims

Cons-Your tires will cost about 50+ dollars per tire vs 15in rims

If money is no issue Id go with 17s and might as well beadlock them....
If money is tight, id go 15 with the biggest tire possible

Im pretty sure a 15 will hold a bead better than a 17 also....non beadlocks ofcourse

I say seventeens for sure.  I got 17x9's with my 40" MTR's and love the stance.  seventeens will help make your rig feel a little more stable too.  Taller rim means your sidewalls wont squish to the side so much when you are off camber.  They cost a bit more, but I would recommend them, plus i think anything over a 37 on 15" rims just looks funny!

X2, Big tires with 15's seem to want to bounce more as well which is harder on parts.

i would say anything 35 and up would be fine with a 17.  you dont really want to run a 17 on anything smaller cuz then you start to get the low pro tire effect. When you air down, the sidewalls still dont want to flex because they are so short.  my dad is runnin 34" trxus tires on 16s and they do pretty good.

I run 39.5" Iroks on 15" wheels.  I agree with everything pumkin toy has said.  I wish I had 17's running that big of a tire.
