« on: Sep 05, 2010, 01:45:31 AM »
 :usa:  Thanks for having me

After reading the HIGHLY technical posts on this board I hope this doesn't bore you guys.

I just got a 94 pickup and its the base model, I was wondering if the harness supports the clusters from the higher trim level trucks.

Im really looking to get the Tach cluster and w/e comes on it.

 Thanks alot
Tree.

Just going by my 90 I am going to say yes. You also have to change the oil pressure sender from the idiot light to the gauge sender. If you do not do that you will burn the gauge up.

Should mostly work.  Things to consider: 4 cyl or 6 cyl models and also Auto/Manual clusters, be sure to pick the correct one.  And don't forget to change the oil pressure light to a sender unit like OOPS said above.

Make sure you get one from a 1992 to 1995 so it matches your wire speedometer.

You can use either a 4cyl or 6cyl model but the tach has to be adjusted accordingly.  There is a little dial adjuster on the tach itself.

Change the oil pressure sender.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
