Shaver area repeaters?
« on: Jul 23, 2020, 04:07:38 PM »
I know a lot on this board are from the Fresno-Clovis area and wheel up in the Sierra National Forest, Coyote-Dusy-Swamp trails.  Those of you that are HAMs, are there any repeaters that you can use in this area when wheeling?  I haven't found very much which is slightly bewildering to me with the amount of activity up there during summer.  The Rubicon is one trail (although very popular and supported) and it has its own repeater that is linked to another to reach down to sacramento.

I'm looking for something for emergency use, just in case.

Nice, I'll have to check those out.  Do you know if you can actually hit those repeaters on any of the trails?

I'm surprised there aren't any repeaters up near china peak or kaiser pass.
