2.2L chevy motor

i was just wondering if anyone has ever put a 2.2l chevy s10 motor in there Toyota?? i just picked up a 94 s10 with the 2.2 in it and i was thinking about putting it in my 85 4runner.
When in doubt throttle out!

i read your sig at the bottom- such a conversion would make that umpossible :D

and its pointless, SOOOOO many better ideas out there if your really want to swap stuff around

you can but id find a higher horsepower its like swapping a 22re for a 22re

ya i no i was just wondering because it is just sitting there and i know it runs. i might have a good deal on a 4.3 so i might just put that in. hopefully get it this week

go 4.3 i myself just finished that swap and am loving the hp and torque

Every 2.2 chevy s10 I've driven was a total dog.  If you want that kinda power, just pull a plug wire on your 22r  ;)

Now that you mention it, when I burnt a plugwire on my 4runner a while back it kinda was liek driving my brothers 2.2 s-10.



Seriously though, I used to think 2.3 powered rangers were slow till I drove the s10 at orilies to makes some deliveries once. I think some of the gerbils in the wheel were on strike or something.
There is a fine line between clever and stupid, I just wish I knew when I crossed it.
