« on: Nov 08, 2004, 04:38:05 PM »
Ok can i use my stock transfercase out of my 84 4runner and adapt it too my stock case out of a 80 truck.
My buddy says i would have too use eather another runner case or another truck case but i think i can use both.
which case should i put 1st the 4runner case or the pickup case or are they both the same.
just a lil confused on what way too go.
thanks guys
adam

Adam,  you have to use the case for the "crawler" that matches your tranny you are using,  then top shift in rear,  you need the 84 case to 84 tranny??  then use 80 tcase for the rear case,  if you need one i have a topshift   :bud:

yea man,  tell dude, its got the pto box and a small yoke for a pto shaft on that np435

your 4runner has a forward shift tcase i'm guessing,  tear it apart for the crawler,  and use the topshift from the 80 on the rear :thumb:
