turn signals stopped working
« on: Sep 03, 2009, 11:15:47 AM »
so when i drove my truck today, my turn signals stopped working. i have the fron two unplugged, but the rear were working fine before, now i got nothing. no hazards either. checked all my fuses and the all seemed ok, but i dunno which fuse that would be any way. might be the relay? in which case i have no idea what im looking for. any help on this would be great!
thanks
cody

Are your dash lights working? If not, it's probably the relay above the fuse box, it's rectangular thing about 2 inches tall and an inch wide. Maybe get one at an auto parts store and ask them if you can return it if it doesn't fix the problem.

According to the FSM, it looks like it's the black one. It should have 3 prongs.

Taken from the FSM

Turn signals do not operate.
1. HAZ-HORN fuse blown........................Replace fuse and check for short
2. Turn signal flasher faulty....................Check flasher
3. Turn signal/hazard switch faulty..........Check switch
4. Wiring or ground faulty.......................Repair as necessary
