« on: Apr 07, 2009, 08:08:34 PM »
I  am gonna go buy some parts off a guys 4runner this weekend and i was wondering what you guys would think is a fair price for some of the stuff here it is:
tranny and t-case top shift 200,000 miles this includes flywheel and clutch as well

tailgate with no dents and it is all there including glass.

and the full power steering set up including non leaking box

Im not quite sure what to offer the guy let me know what you guys think. Thanks,   Dillon

is the steering from an 85 with a push and pull box, or from a ifs rig?

those breakdowns seem pretty reasonable to me.  He may cut you an overall deal if you take it all off his hands for him.

alright well i guess i will run that by him i mainly just want the case and not the tranny but i told him id take the whole setup im lookin to put duals in my 91 truck so i guess i just need a top shift t- case to put behind my stock forward shift case right? I also heard you can convert the rear case to 23 spline for strength? Can you still do this with stock gears in the rear case.

I have an advanced adapter conversion guide that says Yes you can put a 23 in a 21 case, and it does not say anything about having to change gears. i will sell just the case for $100

alright what year of truck is that case out of?  im trying to make a decision of putting dual cases in my pick up or putting a detroit locker in my 4runner.
