Good Deal on Good tires?!
« on: Jan 07, 2007, 02:13:59 AM »
I think I made a big mistake... My bosses son told me there was a set of 31/13.5 Super Swamper SX's (or SSR's?) on rock crawler wheels to fit the sammy at Les Schwab for $800 and he said they look new too!

Those tires are like $180 each and wheels are $75 from 4wheelparts.com... That's a hell of a deal and I could make payments!! And Maybe I could spring over my 3" lift springs with them too... Damn me! That was the setup I wanted, but $800 sounded over wellming at the time...

I bought my $1400 samurai in 3.5 months of payments, so I don't think $800 would be too big of a price jump... I have $250 for a first payment... I don't know, I am racing around in my mind right now. But I am geared pretty good for them too, having the 4:1 T-case and all.

Go for it or wait to buy some Pitbull rockers??
Stock 82 LWB on 33's welded in the rear.  Amazes me!  Been through 4 motors in 2 months though...

personally i'd wait for the pitbulls, those SX's and SSR's havn't impressed me much in the past. Besides your running a light rig and those sidewalls aren't going to do much for you.

R.I.P to my Papa, I miss you pops......

If I do get them, I will get a tire knife from someone and cut some stuff out.
