i hear from the grapevine that some people using the 8in marlin longspline  and still comming apart in some situations

so i'd think a 10inch spline for the front mininum.
custom built is usualy the best..but more pricey

inchworm crawler has a 12 inch splineshaft and high angle driveline has a 14in shaft..
but i can surely say marlins 8inch looks alot beefier then the other two companies, just wish he offered a longer one

I used spline from a local tractor supply, any length you want.  I centered and welded it to the diff end.  I then got a 2.5 inch female spline and welded it into the tube portion of the shaft (CV side).  I got around 10" of spline, 2" up 8" down.  Easy enough.  Yes I can go down the road without vibration at any speed.

In case there is any question, of that driveshaft comming in to contact with that pan, the answer is no.
