When you see a rig for sale
« on: Dec 10, 2008, 11:43:28 PM »
In an ad, shown with bigger tires, do you assume they're included in the price?  If they're not intended to be sold with the rig, should something be said in the ad to let you know before you waste time contacting the person, especially if you they mentioning it being a good start for a rock crawler?  Just a hypothetical  :shake:

NO no, craigslist, as usual.  Some jerk has an 84 4runner for sale for $1000.  It's in pretty decent shape, but the rear gears are toast and it maybe has one or two minor issues.  The pic shows it posed up on a chunk of wood in his yard, which puts emphasis on the nice 33"-ish mud tires.  The ad twice mentions it being a rock crawler project or rock crawler in the making.  Between that and the pic, I just think it's misleading.  Either way, it finally sold.

I'm just used to giving full disclosure and descriptions when I try to sell stuff  :dunno:

In the real world...yes.

In the craigslist world? You're lucky if you correspond with a fellow Earthling.
