yes oil pan and valve cover are the same but  you have to get the dual chain kit  from LCEngineering  or another vendor  because  the  timing cover is different

I bought the kit from LCE... it gives ya everything you need parts wise. You will have to modify your valve cover to make it work. You take a part of the inner baffle on the underside of the valve cover off. Its pretty easy to understand once you get the kit and read everything.

:headscratch: I dunno, probably just mod the valve cover per LCs guidelines, but I am not 100% sure if that is all or if it will need more than that.

I don't think so.  I believe any 22r which came with a dual width chain would be a tall deck block, so if you use it on a short deck block you'll have too much excess chain.  That's how I seem to remember it anyway.

I think the single width chain is fine for the majority of applications as long as you use steel guides.

Now I am confused. Do you have a short deck or a tall deck? If just putting a 22re valve cover on a tall deck with dual row, you will just have to modify the oil baffle. If trying to put a dual row on a short deck block designed for a tall deck, it will not work without a conversion kit. The chains are different length like said above. This post threw me off:

you can put a 22re oil pan and valve cover on a early 22r..... but not a 22re timing chain cover.....
