79 toyota front bumper fabrication

does anybody know what kind of fabrication it takes to mount an 84 and newer bumper to a 79-83 yota

It takes what it takes, you can do it a few different ways, just need to make a upper mount. Do some welding and its done.
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

Ill try and get a pic posted of my front bumper.  Its an allpro bumper for a 2nd gen and I made if fit my 82.

my 79 and 83 are the same. i put the 79 front bumper on my 83, bolted right on.

79-83 is exactly the same frame.

Yes but the from toyota, they didnt really put winch mounting stuff on the early frame Im pretty sure

i welded a trail gear front bumper with the stinger on my 83. i ordered the 84-85. it was pretty simple to fab on. i cut off the tabs that bolt on to the body mounts and had to reweld them back on closer in. there are alot of ways you can you can mount it. i recommend that you get one and mount it custom. its pretty easy.

Jerry, that is why I beefed the hell out of the front crossmember (basically replacing it with something hell of a lot stronger) lol
