greetings
« on: Mar 16, 2003, 09:32:16 PM »
Hello
My name is Ben and i am a 4wheel aholic

my truck is a 89  ex-cab, doing a SAS, using a 81 toyota axle. made my own steering arms for  custom high crossover steering. YJ springs, which are too soft and need to be replaced, the springs are bent backward but articulation is great, next i will be making shock mounts. drive line angel is bad, only 5" of lift but 2 feet of axle droop, shocks will kill most of this but i need dual tcase to help the angels. Hy-pinion 3rd member too, maybe i am not sure; Hy-pinions seem overpriced (i am broke my truck keeps spending all my money) and all i need are better angels i could get triple tcase (has this been done?). i have a lock right, but i need gears. axle needs new knuckle bearings i did the vented rotor upgrade. debating bobing the bed, dont know how much this would help off roading i have a roll bar and bed box so i dont want to loose all my bed space and end up like a jeep. Ramsey 8000lb winch with wireless remote. i have been working on the truck the hole time i have owned it (almost a year), so i need to go wheeling some time too.

Welcome, I have been running a stock driveline with a dual and high pinion. It has mucho droop and no separation problems.
