4runner rear sag
« on: Mar 09, 2008, 12:59:46 AM »
Hey everyone,

I have a 4runner that I'm building and it has the common rear sag to it. I was thinking of trimming the rear fender since I can't afford new rear springs for a few months. Already has an add a leaf. Should I trim it or maybe use a 1 or two inch block to get more height until I can get new springs? I really don't want to use blocks. Here's a pic of my rig.

Cheers,
Jay

I made some longer shackles for my 4Runner.

Get some blocks as a temp fix. I have 2" blocks under my 63's & don't have any problems.

yeah if you cut them you might regret it after you get your new springs,
easiest and cheapest is to make longer shackels.

Put some smaller tires on if you have some.

I just put those new crusher tires on last week.  I will probably just add some two inch blocks until I can get some new springs.

I think the problem is that the rear tires are rubbing the fenders  :dunno:

block are simple enough for a temp fix. maybe do 1" blocks, and then little longer shackles. that is where i am at right now with ranger springs

Are those aftermarket with an AAL or stock/AAL?

Yeah, The tires are rubbing a little. They are stock springs with AAL. I'll probably just block it for now. I will check that thread out crawlerdan. Thanks guys.

Why don't you add a few leaves out of a JY pack to lift it.

Thanks, I'll look into that. Any specific year?
