Which way should I go?
« on: Jul 11, 2009, 07:13:14 PM »
I recently bought a 86 extra-cab, clean title, bad 22r cali smog motor.  I have since bought a rough 85 22r-e extra-cab bad motor as well but it came with a rebuilts head and an extra-strait axle in the the bed of the truck.  Found a running 22r-e out of a recked 4-runner I have everything at my house next week.  Now here's the question for all the vintage-gassers out there what would be the best direction to go from here.  By the way this is my first post, and I have to get this thing goin' I just can't ask my wife to barrow her TJ anymore.

The solid would only need a motor to run, that would give me time to do the sas on the 86 in the mean time, why would it be better to start with the soild to make a better wheeler?
