the donor truck i just got  has a w56 in it,  all they did  was  moved the tcase crossmember  back to use the front holes of the  crossmember in the rear holes  in the frame

he also used  84-85 shortbed  drive shafts

besides  a  "adjustment"  in the floor board   thats about it

thanks .. i still haven't finished adjusting the floorboard from when i pulled the exploded l43. I'll run the l52 until i find a good w56 and parts. sounds like 85 to 88 efi trucks should have what i need.  is there any other year i should be looking at as a good donor?

Yep, Glen is right. I had one in my '82.

Move the mount, shorten the driveline, cut up the floor.

The L52HD very cool but i started thinking W56 in case a 3RZ needed a home. is this a bad idea? i have a spare L52 i could rebuild to keep me wheeling for now. marlins L52 rebuild kit looks like a super deal too.
