chromoly shafts
« on: Sep 08, 2007, 12:12:00 AM »
I am switching over to v6 thirds and getting the gears cryoed and also want to run marlins chromoly rear shafts. My question is that I wanted to keep my 4cyl thirds has spares for now till I can find spare v6thirds. But on looking at the toyota FAQ page on pirate it seems that the v6 thirds are 30 spline and 4cyl are 27 spline so that wouldnt work to switch the thirds out because of the different spline in the shafts. Did I read incorrectly that the thirds are different spline?

I think you may have misread that. Both the V6 and 4cyl thirds are 30 spline so the chromoly shafts will fit both.
