Topic: 85 and 86 body wiring harness differences

ok so i have a 86 22rte that i am desperatly trying to get in my 85 4runner.  i junked the 86 truck and now i realized that the body harnesses are different.  anyone know if the 22re and 22rte  from the 86 are different?  ie can i buy a 86 22re harness and run it,  or .....  what are the pin outs for the 85 22re( that i have installed in my 85) and the pin outs for th 86 22rte,  if i can just move some pins around and it will work.  that would be most ausome!!!!!

here are some pin outs but the 22re one looks totally different?  help.

I dont  know if this will help you , but I have a complete harness out of a 1987 4runner . front to back . It is exactly the same as my 1986 4runner . both have 22re .

Oh man... you junked the 86 that had theturbo harness?

Did you grab the ECU from the turbo?

How much of the turbo engine are you trying to use?

First thing to check - is the INJECTOR impedence the same between the Turbo injectors versus the reciver's truck?
(aka low z versus high z injectors)
