Need a locker
« on: Apr 18, 2007, 04:47:05 PM »
Hey guys Im looking for a locker like a lock rite or aussie or some kind where I dont have to reset the backlash and redo the gears and what not. Im no gear head!
New or used, I dont care. If its used it (obviously?) has to work right with no problems. I dont want some piece of :pokinit: thats going to fail and ruin my diff.  If someone is gonna sell me one Id like some kind of guarantee Im not gonna get screwed.  email me at tfm0101@sbcglobal.net or PM me....either way it goes to my email!
forgot to say its for a regular toyota 8" 4cyl

Thanks  :cheese:

you have to remove the carrier and reset backlash with any toyota locker you put in.

the only locker you won't have to reset backlash with is a Lincoln.  Here's their website: http://www.lincolnelectric.com/

cant you put the backlash back to exactly what it was when you install it?
i know what a lincoln is but this is my dd. if i was gonna do that id just weld it up front and rear.
im sure i will live through resetting the backlash. if i cant figure it out, my neighbor knows how to set gears and were good buddies. i need a fuggin locker!!!!!! SOON. im actually gonna try and save my paychecks lol

theres no way it doesnt wear your tires faster than normal. also, i kinda like to be able to turn. my girlfriends brother had a longbed 80 with a lincoln in the back and it could hardly turn into his appartment driveway from the street without having to do a y turn. otherwise i would have spooled the front and back a long time ago! im hoping to get a lockrite or aussie.
