Topic: dual t/case with a bench seat

hey guys  i have a 87truck and the tran as a no backup gear and i would like to put in my 4-speed with dualt/case I need to know if i can keeep the bench seat in or put bucket seat in ? please help

Modify your shifter.

if you are going to a L50 4spd you might be able to as it is shorter by the same amount the doubler is longer

you would be better off to mod your truck to buckets, the 4 speed is know as a weak link.

85 stock bucket.  Found a shifter in a junkyard with a pretty pronounced forward/back bend to it and it worked.  I did c-notch the bottom bar under the seat to make it easier to shift later on because it sucked.

In fact it sucked so much I have buckets now but partly because my seat was thrashed.
