Topic: Axle gear color codes. Need help

Pink is 4.10's right??

The reason i ask is because i thought pink was 4.10 but i just picked up a TRD E-Locker and it has 4.10's but its blue

Did they change the color in the later years or am i just wrong on the color for 4.10's.

You can't go by the color on the pinion. Some were painted wrong from the factory.

ok, but assuming that its the right color, which colors go to which ratio?

read the gear code on the ID plate it will start with a G then there will be 3 numbers here are the codes,  "G" means 8" diff the two middle #'s are the gear code and the 3rd # is the pinion info 
G07=3.90
G08=4.11
G10=4.375                the last # indicates pinon
G14=4.875                      2= 2 pinion open diff
G25=4.556                      3= 2 pinion limited slip
G28=4.30                        4= 4 pinion open diff
G29=4.10                        5= 4 pinion limited slip
G30=3.91
G38=3.42
G43=3.56
G54=3.90
G66=3.07
so your gear code with 4.10's would look like this  G292 (the 2 on the end if it is open)

Wheres the id plate. are you talkin about the one on the door. niether one of my thirds are the origionals.

Pink and Orange are 4.1 and 4.11 not necessarily in that order and I don't feel like looking.  Blue is 4.30
