Supercharger Question.
« on: Jan 12, 2007, 04:30:26 PM »
Hey guys,

My dad wants a TRD supercharger for his Tacoma, he has an '03 TRD 4x4 V6 manual. I'm wondering if anyone here has any thoughts on this upgrade and possibly where is the best place to buy it and get the best deal. All the research i've done says that this is a killer upgrade. Will we need to replace the exhaust as well?

What do you guys think? Anyone know the best deal around on these things?

Do all of the kits come with the 7th injector?

Thanks,

D.

not to say this isnt a good place for tech, but www.ttora.com , would know a lot more about these things, there is a user their named gadget that knows a ton of stuff on the superchargers, i think he offers performance kits for it too... im thinking its URD or something like that

best place to get a TRD supper charger would be e-bay.  most the time the 7th ingector does not come with the charger and cost around $700.   and you can run stock exhaust.

Got mine off ebay.  new for 1200.  This was a few years ago.  7th injector is not included unless you get lucky from someone who is selling used.  Does make a big difference.  Lots more power!

jimbo, you are refering to Underdog Racing Development

You should consider installing it yourself. The instructions are available online and are very simple to follow. I installed one on a 4cyl Tacoma. If you get it used, PLEASE make sure it includes the correct piggy back computer and also make sure it is programmed for your correct application and locale (ie. average temperature & elevation).
