Radius arm suspension?
« on: Dec 17, 2006, 04:32:27 PM »
Has anyone here ever seen a radius arm suspension system for 2gen pickups or 1st gen runners? Seems like they would be an easier way to convert to air bags than building a 4link.

i dont beleive anyone makes a kit for it, they usually save the airbags for the fullsize street queen rigs

Alright, I was looking a Krawlr's truck and that kind of got me thinking about bagging my truck. Probably just end up getting marlins 5" system if there is no "easy" way to do airbags.

airbaging a system is pretty simple, but im saying that its not the best proven setup for wheeling... lots of fabrication will be needed and in most cases will not be anywhere near as cheap....

you can only get so much lift with airbags, and with air in them, that can limit travel and compression, i also dont trust the fact my truck would be riding on giant ballons...

many people will then compare the idea that the big rigs use air bags, and they do, but their system is a lot different that the huge offroad lifted airbags you see on the street queen trucks...
