Buggy tubes for sale: SOLD
« on: Oct 12, 2006, 11:59:30 PM »
I started this build a couple of years ago, but my downhill racing schedule took me away from it.
here it is now for grabs, will fit your toy frame and firewall like a globe.
I need a high-steer OBO.

I'm in Simi Valley, CA

I like the lines on that chassis. To bad i'm so far away, I am gonna build a four seater one of these days.

$390....good deal for someone in California with a trailer!!  Sometimes living in Colorado can be frustrating on this board!   :rivers:

Bends, notches and welds look good........do what you need to do, mock it up, tack it to your frame, and make plans for any mods......then have it sandblasted, painted and/or powdercoated (taping off the areas where it will be welded to the frame).......and you've got a great start to a Yota buggy!!!!

Somebody should jump on this.......especially with how much tubing costs, and the amount of time it takes to fab something like this.  Speaking of which, unless I missed it (?)...what kind of tubing is this made out of???  DOM, HREW, etc.??  And what diameter???  1.5", 1.75"??

I would also like to know what type of tube and size.  Also does it fit the entire frame, or is it meant for a 4 link in the rear.

I would also like to know the specs like tube size, type, and thickness. How deep is the rust? What Toyota was it set up for, and what wheelbase? I have a highsteer kit that is still in the bublewrap, maybe we could work something out.

spoken with some of you guys about picking it up as early as this week.
the offer remains the same a new high steer or bring the cash for it.

specs as follow:

1 3/4 x.120, 1 1/5 x .120, and some gussets 1 x .120 steel
bent with lots of love and dedication not your tipical end of the mill stuff here, this is why I've held on to it for years.

Built it around a toy pick up frame, with enough room to run any wheelbase I wanted to.
