Wow. I seriously need to prevent newbies from doing this.

Parts for Sale is not the place to be asking for any suggestions.

I am locking this topic, and if anyone is interested in your third member, then they can just PM (or call) you.

I am going to require a certain post count to be met before one is able to post anything in the Parts for Sale section or the Rigs for Sale section.

Since you are a new member, how about you introduce yourself in the New Member Check-In Forum first.

Thankyou
BigMike

Ok, I learned how to set individual permissions on a per board basis.

Here is the new message I posted in each sticky 'Welcoming Thread' of the two for Sale forums:

Please note, as of 6/18/2006, New Members who are still in the Membergroup of "Dusty Trails" are NOT ALLOWED to post new topics of polls in the Parts for Sale and Rigs for Sale sections.

Dusty Trails members are still able to reply to current threads if they wish, but are no longer able to start their own for sale threads.

This was done to prevent new members from Scams and signing up just to sell their stuff.

It is a privilege to be able to advertise your used goods here, so please stay for a while and get to know us while you advance to at least the "Rock Crawl'n" membergroup.

Regards,
BigMike

Sorry this had to happen to you FRM88TOY, you sound like a cool guy and I would like to help ya out, it's just that a while ago we had a series of scammers who were even trying to sell calling cards and insurance rates at one time, and this is something that has needed to be done for a very long, long time.

We would like to welcome ya to the site, so post up something in the Newmember Check-In forum!

Regards
BigMike
