22RE and 5spd w/t-case
« on: May 16, 2006, 10:28:38 PM »
Both out of an 85' 4Runner, well still in the truck. The 22-RE is in decent shape, runs good with no major problems, just a little on the weak side from being old. The timing chain is loose so it makes a little noise. But still runs good, can come start it up to check it out. The tranny is a 5 speed manual transmission, not sure what model exactly, but from 85', so hope that helps. The tranny had a recent clutch job by the previous owner, I have only had the truck since January, and only drove it for about a month. So the tranny is in good shape, never popped outa gear, and no grinding. Also have the transfer case with stock gears, so nothing special. Again this is all in the truck still, so I won't take it out unless you are seriously interested. Have no axles on the truck so you can't really test the tranny but you can start the engine. Just make me an offer on what you want. I live in San Jose. Please PM me instead of replying to the post. Thanks, Jacob.

If it's behind an re it's most likely a w56, but if you look at that little metal tag in the engine bay, down where the axle/color/tranny codes are it'll tell you
