22RE Intake Installation Question
« on: May 11, 2006, 07:52:22 PM »
On the underside of the intake runners there is a flanged hardline, part of the coolant system.  Is there an O-ring or seal that is supposed to go on it?

Nope...can't get to it with camera...was hoping someone who has done it lately remembers.

I better start looking through the gasket set...see if I got a replacement, cause I think the original fell out sometime during dissassembly.

Yeah, I don't really see anything in the gasket set that would fit.  I am gonna have a look around again tomorrow, but I think the plan is gonna be to "RTV the crap out of it."

if i remember correctly it's sort of a compression fit.  don't think mine had a gasket either, and i didn't use one when i put it back together.  no leaks. :ladys-man:

That is the pipe for cabin heater. There is definitely an o-ring there. The part number is: 96711-24017.

there was an o-ring that fit in my kit.......uh, well, but youve got bigger fish to fry at the moment
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.
