SOLD

I have an IFS front dif, open, with 4.88's. Some of the long timers might remember PurpleYotaGirl- this dif came out of the last 4runner she built. From what she said, the guy she bought the runner from had the gears professionally installed shortly before he sold the truck to her IIRC. I bought the entire IFS front end from her after it was cut off.

Gears look good, no wear that I can see. PYG kept the companion flange, so if you use this dif, you'll need to swap yours over and probably replace the seal. The short side "output flange" has some lateral play/wiggle, but so does the one in my runner, not sure if it matters or not.

I'd like $75 for it. I'm willing to ship, but it does weigh ~70 lbs including packaging. I got a quote from someone that was interested in Seattle and the price was $40. I'm in Sac.

Would this diff work in a 96+ IFS?

I believe the difs are different after 1995, though the gears might work, I believe both are 7.5". A gear supplier like Randy's Ring and Pinion might be able to clarify.

Since you'll need to swap your companion flange over, I would replace the seal as well. Might make sense to tune up your entire front dif and regear, if so I'll happy to break the dif down and ship you the parts, minus the housing to save some cash. Though you'll need a new crush sleeve. But, when swapping over your companion flange, if you change the amount of "crush" on the sleeve, you'll have to replace it too...this means you're essentially setting up a 3rd. Just something to think about.

We are going to hold out for some 5.29s. That is where we want to end up after the SAS that will eventually happen anyway. Sounds like a great deal good luck.

Dif is tentatively sold (no deposit). If the buyer no shows on Sunday, it's back on the market.
