22R Carb question
« on: Nov 25, 2003, 10:28:08 AM »
Does anyone have a legitimate idea about how many turns the mixture screw should be turned out  on a 85 22r carb.  Just need the rough setting then I will adjust it accordingly.

there is no single setting that covers all yota carbs.  what you need to do is get a vaccum gauge and connect it to a vaccum port that has constant vaccum when the rig is running as you SLOWLY turn the needle in watch the gauge if you are too lean it will barely run so you need to back it out get the highest vaccum reading.  that is the easiest and so far best way that I have found to adjust the mixture.  just aim for the highest reading and go with it. good luck!
