Changing your own dif gears

Ive never changed my own gearing before, should i try it? Is it really hard. Ive herd that if i don't do it right it will be loud. Anyone got any tips?
I'd like to quit thinking of the present as some minor insignificant preamble to something else~~~~~

if you dont do it RIGHT  it will be loud  and very short lived,  have you ever rebuilt a tranny??  numerous  engine rebuilds ??  if not i wouldnt try it

I wouldn't suggest it, if you have no idea how to do it, or not much experience in mechanics.

I always refer to this page for gear set ups. It is quite helpful...

I work at an auto auction and even the mechanic doesn't attempt. that made me nervouse cause he's a old bubble gum mechanic. thanks for the info. I drive 100 miles a day in my 82 so imma take it to a shop.

its not hard if you know what your doing,  i was scared to death the first time i did one

well my friends call me mcgyver and i have rebuilt one motor and put in about 10 that all still run by myself. this is the one thing i'm just nervouse about.

There is no reason to be skeerd. What is the worst thing that could happen?

1. You could do it wrong and break something....so what!! They sell new ones every day :yupyup:

2. You could do your homework..... do it right.... and learn something :thumbs:
