yea, nobody seems to know anything about swapping shifters from one tranny to another ANYWHERE!!!  I'm still trying to find out if I can modify my g52 shifter to fit in a w56.  I've searched and googled till i'm about fed up with the whole thing and thinking of spending my life savings to buy a new shifter and top plate at the Stealership.
