Topic: 85 EFI 4runner dead, Need Help

 Just starts and Dies, Just starts and Dies, Just starts and Dies, Just starts and Dies, Just starts and Dies, Just starts and Dies,   


 NEw  Vacuum lines, I drove on them for a Week before timing Chain install
New Plug Wires, drove on them for a few days before new chain 9tear down)

 I installed new timing Chain from LCE

 First- Engine would not start, sprayed carb spray into Intake/Plenum, Engine stayed running (while spraying) .

2- Disconnected Starter motor,  turned Ign Key on/off, to  Pressure up the Fuel line

3- reconnect Starter,  Engine starts and Runs 

4- Set Timing, 8*,  Engine run great

5- Drove 4 blocks , stoped at  3 stop Signs and Signal light

6- Slow down for 2nd signal light  Engine Died 

7- Won't start 

8- Waited 8+ MINUTES, Engine Starts up 

9- Drive on Hwy  65MPH for 15+ minutes, very smooth and quite

10- Slow down for signal lights

11- Slow down  to 4th Stop light, Engine DIES 

12-  Wait 10 minutes , engine starts up again, Drive 25 mph  1 Block to home
    Engine Dies 

 13- Reset timing with Jumper to 8*  Cold

14- Next day, Engine no run,  JUSt Strt & Die.     

15- No Engine Codes

16- Swap out ECU's

   Checked Fuel pump
   Checked Fuel Filter (only 3 months old)
   Checked Intake for air leak- None
   Checked Spark

All Engine Grounds in place

 17- By pass the VSV Valve
       EGR Is Blocked off, This way for 1 year, 1k miles

 17- Bypass stock  coil, I'm using a  Jacobs Coil, but still wired to Toyota Igniter
 Truck No Run  8 days !!!!!!

 

 Valve job last year, Could they all of a sudden be to Tight ?  Is this igniter Related ?

 Is it a bad Fuel Dampner?

 Bad TPS

Bad AFM

 ?   !!!!!!!!!

 Well  don't all jump in at once

 Never mind it's fixed
 








 passenger fender resistor connector was not completlt snapped in. I never disconnected , which is why I did  not go back a nd check it.
