lookin at an 89 xtra cab and the owner says its a factory posi?? to my knowledge they didnt come from factory posi? correct me if im wrong

nope they came open rear ended stock. pretty sure. or like you said someone put in a posi.

Posi is GM only anyway, but no, definately no factory option for the pickups.

Are you sure?  Are you sure they didn't advertize limited slips?

Hi,
If "Limited Slip" is what you mean by "Posi"  then Toyota did have LSD's from factory in that year, I know it because I got down LSD oil for a friend of mine.

I think only a few models had it and my 89 pickup dont have LSD. It may have been an option

If you had them in the US,,,,, I dont know.

However, please check
