in need of five speed turbo tranny
« on: Sep 10, 2003, 11:05:08 AM »
I am in search of a 5 speed transmission for an 1986-87 turbo  toyota truck. just need to replace the one I have.

I have a 84 with a V6 buick 252ci and the stock tranny from my year model will not hold up. I have destroyed three so far

I am in search of one in good shape to be rebuilt by Marlin.

so shipping would need to be to Marlins shop

I wouldn't mind finding a whole truck for the extra parts.

my problem is I am in North Carolina

Also are there any other replacement transmissions available besides the r151f from a turbo truck
too much spent to go slow
too much spent to stay low
too much spent on the go
but it's fun you know

Dude...
You might consider getting a R150F from a V6 truck, getting adapters from Marlin and calling it good. It might be easier (possibly cheaper) than trying to track down the turbo tranny.   :beerchug:

your right but I have already paid the price for the adapters I have and the search will give me time to get other things in place. the conversion has been done already to a buick v6 with and advance adapters conversion kit.
would like to keep this if at all possible since it is paid for. hate to have to go through selling it at a loss and buying the other ones and I have something to drive right now so it isn't a have too

Ahh....I see....
I've seen a few around. I actually picked one up here about 6 months ago. There was one on PBB not to long ago with a crawler for around $1000.
