what else is need for dual t-case
« on: Nov 28, 2005, 03:11:33 PM »
So far Ive got a t-case, dual adapter, and Im ordering the cross member around Dec 15th.  I know I need a t-case shifter but what else?

I heard something about a base plate for the shifter and whatnot. Im new to toyotas and a bad mechanic so I dont know exactly what Im lookin at.

Ive got the truck too.

Is your extra t/case complete? If so, then it should already have the shift base (if top shifting)

Is your Yota carburated or EFI, 4cyl or V6?

Bite me Tice! Im learnin! I would have double checked with you guys anyway Im just trying to get my post count up

I think my t-case is complete but Id have to ask to make sure.

I can get all the tools to do the job.

I know I have to shorten the driveshaft but I didnt know about the speedo extension.

Like tice said my truck is an 86 xcab sr5 IFS, EFI, 22RE, Manual, with a stock t-case and the 2nd is out of an 87 I think.
