Stiff clutch
« on: Sep 06, 2005, 01:51:48 PM »
On my 85 4runner the clutch gets stiff after moderate use on or off road.  I have tried to spray WD40 inside around the clutch and got behind the clutch boot near the frame and neither seem to help.  Is it time for a new clutch or is there something else I can do?

Exactly coyote, then the clutch will get tougher to press after constant use.  Sounds like it's time to replace the clutch and pressure plate.

Noticed you stated NON CERAMIC...let me tell you, my DD 93 IFS V6 is like a radical race car trying to run the ceramic clutch.  In my next lifetime, I'll opt for NON CERAMIC for my DD...
