what trannies will interchange?
« on: Aug 13, 2005, 11:04:40 PM »
If I pick up the taco I'm tryin to get(see my post in general) I might be doing an engine swap.  I don't know which engine it has yet, 2.4 or 2.7 liter, but need to know if they have the same bolt pattern as the 22r engine.  If I put the engine in my 2wd it won't really matter cause I can use the taco tranny, but if it goes in the 4by it will cause it's only a 2wd.  Lemme know what you know,            Nate

If it has a 2.7 then it should be a W59 so all you'd have to do is put a W56 behind that bellhousing.  If its a 3.4 I *think* you'd be able to put a R series behind it using its bellhousing.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

What bellhousing will allow me to run an early R151F behind a 7M or 3Rz (if any)?  It seems like Supratruck once said to use the 7mGTE bellousing with turbo clutch, and this would work, has anyone confirmed it?  If so, would the same bellhousing work on the 3rz?

Thanks!
