ok heres the deal i am starting on my 83. what i have planed so far is bobed bed, FULL chevy drivetrain makeover, shorten frame (i have a good friend running one on a ford highboy, shortened 28", and never broke) stacks with flow masters, ARBs ft and rr w/ 5:13s, 35-37" tires ( what kind, beats me) and for the suspention i am thinking about running 4 link in the rear and 3 link in the frount (if possible) but first i want to know the good/bad and ugly about 4 link and 3 link. so i need everyone to speak up on this one wether it on the suspention or ANY other part of my rig plans.

I ran into a guy in town the other day with a 3 link rear setup and he chose 3 rather than 4 because the fuel tank would have been in the way of the 4th link.  Maybe with your Chevy swap you are planning to relocate the fuel tank.
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

Moab Tested & Rubicon Approved
