Frankenstien R150F build
« on: Jul 20, 2021, 03:01:14 AM »
So I'm in the middle of a swap (pretty sure the details are irrelevant) and have been delayed to due a lack of 96+ R150Fs in my area. I purchased a pre-96 R150f off the 3.0s after being told it was off of a 3.4. I'm about 6 months delayed on this project because of the inability to locate a transmission and as a result started doing some digging into modifying this one. I read that you could in fact swap the 96+ longer input shaft into a 3.0 R150F trans, however in 95 the helix angle was changed so anything older than that will not work. I was wondering, since I don't know what year vehicle this trans came out of, could I just order a 96+ R150F cluster shaft and input shaft and swap it into what I have now?
