heim joint or fj-80 tierod w/ marlin crossover?
« on: Apr 06, 2005, 06:23:41 AM »
What's the pros and cons of both of these.  My marlin crossover came with fj-80 tie rod, but I've seen some people use the heims.  The heims look really cool and looks like they can be removed much easier than the tie rod.

Thanks

the purpose of a hiem is not to look cool (well sort of ;) ) yes they are easier to unbolt and remove. the real reason is if you have massive amount of suspension flex and can max out a tie-rod end. also don't forget to put a double shear where the joint is.
You win some, you lose some.
