Walking gears
« on: Nov 11, 2016, 08:45:49 AM »
Good morning all. I have an 85sr5 with a first gen 5spd. My forward gears starting walking g around on me not too long ago, so I replaced all 3 parts of the shifter bushings. And still have the same issue. Could the shift rail be causing the problem? Or am unfortunately looking for a new trans?   Also, the spring assembly seems a little loose. Maybe it's not enough pressure for it to seat properly into the trans?  TIA!
