Topic: Toyota r452 Transmission

So I was searching. And I found a thread talking about how hard it was to get this tranny from overseas. But it was almost 2 years ago since anyone posted on it.

I was just curious if anyone had any new information on this tranny? I am wanting to swap the 5th gear out of it into my r150f.

I stopped in at the RYDEN/HINO dealer in fresno and those guys were brainless when it came to looking up parts for this application.

UGH.. Freaking lame. I just want a transmission! Why does it have to be so hard! And probably when I do find one its going to be a billion dollars too...

Just to let everybody know, I am still on the trail to finding an r452 5th gear set. I have talked to ppl in australia and in canada. I think I may have finally found a dealer that knows what the hell they are talking about, and hopefully will get back to me with some good news. Just thought I would share this for anybody still interested in getting a lower 1st gear, or a higher 5th gear.

hi folks, i am new here, i am am also having difficulty with the 5th gear upgrade, i have a 2001 and a 2009 R151 gearboxes and the 5th counter gear is different on both of them, and the Dyna r452 (par no25030) is different to both of them!! how do i find out which gear i need??
when i get enough posts i will put up some photos
