HELP! U-Joint Dilemma
« on: Aug 28, 2016, 03:30:52 PM »
I have a bit of a problem (note picture), the question here is what u-joints do I need to get for this. Not what I'm used to on an 85 Toyota since this is a custom setup from my new to me rig. I'm thinking it is out of the 90's and is pressed in unlike the clip style I'm used to in my era vehicle. I just took the pictures of the CV and u-joint ends since the middle is the typical round thingy that spins like crazy when you drive it :gap:

I'm sure you have a driveline shop in Huntington Beach that can assist.

I just purchased the same CV from East County Drive Shaft in El Cajon, CA.

Speak to Todd, very sharp guy.  He can answer any questions for you:  619-447-3336

Good luck.

Same front driveshaft I pulled from an 85 truck and 4Runner front. Put them under my samurai with yota axles for perfect equal length shafts
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.
