dual dilemma ....
« on: May 15, 2012, 06:33:44 PM »
not sure if this belongs here but here we go.... What i have is a 23 spline t-case(Turbo) and a 21 spline c-box with the (21 spline) adapter what is it gonna take to mate the two? a new adapter for a 23 spline?
it's going behind a 3.4 if that changes anything besides the v6 adapter  :help:

There's adapters for 21 to 23 spline. 23 spline input with a 21 spline coupler I believe

I want to go 23spline all around because i want it done right the first time. Can you rebuild the adapter and make it a 23 spline?

Is your trans 23 spline? If so you need a 23 spline coupler and another 23 spline input.

Buy a 23 spline input gear and a 23 spline coupler for the dual adapter.

Then your crawlbox will be able to bolt to your rear case. Then all you should need is the v6 to 4cyl adapter and you can bolt it all together into the truck.

thomas went though this sort of...

It might be more cost effective for you to buy a whole new 23 spline dual adapter.  the only thing different is the coupler.

If i remember right the coupler is pretty pricey though, so looking back he felt it would have been more cost effective to buy a whole new dual adaptor kit and then sell the old 21 spline.

Either way...

Who made your adapter?  Get the coupler from them.  Marlin and TG are about $150

Watever your trying to run make sure its a 23 spline for 2.28 or if your doing 4.7 in one you can use your 23 spline from your turbo tcase.
