I just did this swap on my 88 22RE pickup. Got the cluster and oil pressure sender from a 1985 4Runner. I don't know if it was EFI or carb.

Total plug & play for me. I also found a youtube video showing how to reset odometer so my mileage was the same as the one I took out.

I think the only difference on the turbo is it has a boost light and the V6 's can be adjusted so the tach will read correctly.
