I believe that depends on what ecu you will be running. Injector resistance may be differrent from 88 to 89.
According to LCEngineering, they are different injectors. 88 is all by itself.
http://www.lcengineering.com/TechNotes/TechNote11.htmYou will need to run the same year ecu as injectors, and I would lean towards the 89 units. I don't know about 88, but 89 injectors had the drivers build into the ecu, and earlier models had a seperate injector driver.
